Vision<\/h2>\n

To prepare a well-educated generation equipped with comprehensive knowledge in various aspects of Earth Sciences and to achieve both national and international academic recognition in producing graduates who contribute effectively to the country’s scientific and technological development.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/h2>\n

To prepare competent professionals in the field of Geological Sciences by fostering logical thinking and research skills for the exploration and assessment of natural resources, thereby contributing to a balanced relationship between investment, development planning, and a safe, sustainable environment for society.<\/p>\n

Department Objectives<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. To provide students with a solid foundation in the various branches of Geological Sciences.<\/li>\n
  2. To keep pace with recent advances in the fundamental sciences relevant to geology.<\/li>\n
  3. To enhance students\u2019 awareness of new discoveries and developments in the basic sciences.<\/li>\n
  4. To provide practical field experience through numerous field trips conducted under the supervision of academic staff.<\/li>\n
  5. To enable students to gain familiarity with professional practices in relevant governmental departments and institutions through summer training programs.<\/li>\n
  6. To strengthen collaboration with relevant governmental departments and institutions that can facilitate employment opportunities for graduates.<\/li>\n
  7. To organize regular conferences and seminars aimed at enhancing the confidence and competence of postgraduate students and increasing their awareness of the standards and expectations upheld by scientific institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
