Vision of the Department:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To establish a knowledge base of creative and specialized individuals in computer science, software, and related fields, and to strive to develop study tools to ensure compliance with quality standards. The department is committed to preparing outstanding graduates who are able to meet the needs of the labor market and keep pace with the remarkable development in the field of information and communication technology. The department also aims to enable its graduates to pursue their postgraduate studies to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees in their areas of specialization and conduct high-quality scientific research.<\/p>\n

Mission of the Department:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To prepare graduates who are qualified to deal with software and information efficiently, and to work on providing appropriate opportunities to develop the community’s capabilities in investing in information technology development, as well as leading in the educational, academic, and research fields, which enables the department to do so. The department also aims to provide the community with highly qualified programmers who can contribute to building its various institutions and transferring technology to it.<\/p>\n

Objectives of the Department:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Graduating specialized computer science professionals:<\/strong>\u00a0To graduate specialized computer science professionals who can meet the needs of the labor market and possess the theoretical and practical knowledge and basic skills to use computers to meet the needs of society in Iraqi universities and support applied studies related to the development of systems and software solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Establishing training programs:<\/strong>\u00a0To establish training programs that aim to raise the level of computer use in various fields,\u00a0allowing citizens to benefit from these courses,\u00a0and providing advice and technical support to various sectors of society.<\/li>\n
  • Providing distinguished academic programs:<\/strong>\u00a0To provide distinguished academic programs in the field of computer science according to quality assurance standards,\u00a0and to provide computer science graduates with the basic knowledge to conduct research and pursue postgraduate studies.<\/li>\n
  • Equipping graduates with the necessary skills:<\/strong>\u00a0To equip graduates with the necessary skills to be able to communicate with others individually or work as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
