<\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The legal unit is responsible for organizing the legal affairs of the college in all its aspects, in terms of organizing legal guarantee transactions for all primary and postgraduate students, which is considered one of the conditions for admission to our university. It also organizes employee guarantees as well, and our unit expresses the legal opinion on various transactions as well as following up on the tenants of the college sites. It sends its legal representatives to the courts and police stations for the purpose of following up on forgery cases related to counterfeiters and all other cases related to the College of Science. The unit\u2019s employees are assigned to participate in the chairmanship and membership of the various investigative committees due to the necessity of the presence of a legal member in those committees based on the laws and instructions in force, in addition to making pledges regarding marital residency and allowances. Tasks and duties of the unit<\/span><\/p>\n

The tasks and duties that the legal unit undertakes are divided into several tasks according to their nature, which are:<\/span><\/p>\n

Rights<\/span>
\nFollowing up on the work of the investigative committees formed in the college and following up on the implementation of their recommendations after they are coupled with the approval of the Dean of the College, the President of the University, or His Excellency the Minister, according to the powers, and coordinating with the Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency regarding that, as well as following up on the lawsuits filed by the unit for claims of the college\u2019s rights. Third parties or representing the college to defend its rights in the event of a lawsuit being filed by other entities or persons and following up on the implementation of ruling decisions issued regarding lawsuits at the competent enforcement directorates.<\/span>
\nExpress an opinion<\/span>
\nThe Legal Unit is responsible for expressing and presenting the legal opinion to the Deanship of the College regarding requests submitted to it by professors and members of the College, as well as in cases submitted by the Deanship to examine the extent of their compatibility with the law before implementing them, provided that expressing the opinion includes all legal jurisdictions, including concluding various contracts or disciplinary or civil procedures and based on Relevant laws in force.<\/span>
\nContracts and guarantees<\/span><\/p>\n

The Legal Unit also regulates the contracts to which the college is a party and its various topics, such as lease contracts for college sites, employment contracts, and contracts for completing postgraduate students\u2019 research within the cooperation mechanism between the college and other government institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The unit also organizes the guarantees required to be submitted in accordance with the applicable laws and instructions, such as guarantees for postgraduate students with academic leave inside Iraq, guarantees for morning and evening preliminary studies, as well as guarantees for postgraduate students accepted on the public channel guaranteeing the preservation of state funds that are at the student\u2019s disposal during the period of study.<\/span>
\nProperty<\/span><\/p>\n
