The electrical behavior of a Pentacene-based organic field-effect transistor (OFET) with a top contact\/bottom gate made of organic\/inorganic gate dielectric materials was described in this work. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and hafnium oxide (HfO2) were chosen as gate dielectric materials. In this study, we looked into how the monolayer and bilayer gate insulators affected the operation of the OFET. To model and analyze a device&#8217;s electrical properties, MATLAB was used. Two main parameters were studied: switching ratio (Ion\/Ioff) and subthreshold swing and the effect of dielectric capacitance on the gate dielectric materials were also studied. Both the output and transfer characteristics exhibit a high drain current at the gate dielectric PVA\/HfO2, this is because the dielectric capacitance has increased.
