In cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, the University of Baghdad, the biology department held a lecture entitled “Fungi save the world” in the presence of many students, teachers, and those concerned with medical affairs.<\/h3>\n

The lecture aims to shed light on the benefits of fungi in the face of natural disasters such as fires, as in Sonoma County in the United States and the forest fires that swept California after using a genus of fungi called “oyster mushrooms” in order to repair the damage inflicted on them. Human hands have spoiled into fungi, which will digest them and turn them into nutrients. The “mycelium” can help restore natural habitats and transform the toxic wastes from lands.<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
