In the College of Science Chemistry Department at the University of Baghdad a doctoral dissertation entitled ” Estimation of some antiviral drugs using hydrophilic stationary phases based on sulfobetaine in liquid chromatography and their applications in pharmaceutical preparations,” by Souhair Salah Ahmed was discussed, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashraf Saad Rashid. The research aimed to study the separation of the five antiviral drugs (acyclovir, amantadine, oseltamivir, ribavirin, and tenofovir) proposed and to estimate them as potential alternatives within virus fusion or entry inhibitors, as they are antiviral drugs that can act against viruses at different stages of the virus life cycle.
