{"id":7326,"date":"2024-04-24T16:59:23","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T13:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=7326"},"modified":"2024-04-24T16:59:23","modified_gmt":"2024-04-24T13:59:23","slug":"the-role-of-chemicals-and-residues-in-water-pollution-and-water-insufficiency-in-iraq-was-discussed-in-a-scientific-symposium-organized-by-the-faculty-of-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=7326","title":{"rendered":"The role of chemicals and residues in water pollution and water insufficiency in Iraq was discussed in a scientific symposium organized by the Faculty of Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0Under the auspices of the dean \u00a0Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, with attending of several students, teaching staff, and those who concerned with the environment and water resources.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0 The Department of Chemistry, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit, held a symposium entitled<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">&#8220;Water scarcity in Iraq and the role of chemicals pollution&#8221;<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0\u00a0 The objective of the symposium was to explore ways to address Iraq&#8217;s water scarcity and take the most important measures to reduce pollution of Iraq&#8217;s rivers and prove water quality defining the main causes and effects on the diverse aspects of environment and life, Describing factors that cause salinity problems by Reuse of wastewater from industries after purification, using a new method, which is efficient and economically inexpensive.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The seminar included the presentation of a lecture entitled\u00a0 &#8220;Water Health&#8221; by Associate Professor&#8221; Saba Zuhair Hussein and Dr. Rowa Abbas Mohammed presented his lecture entitled &#8220;Water scarcity in Iraq between causes and solutions proposed&#8221; , Dr. Ala Abdul Zahra Habib also gave his lecture entitled &#8221; &#8220;Types of chemical contaminants in water&#8221; in addition to Dr. Nada Ahmed Rashid by her lecture entitled &#8220;Water pollution damage&#8221;, which focused on the role of water as the most important scarce element , and the problem of water pollution, including groundwater, river water, lakes and seas, showing a main idea that a Pollution is caused by the lack of linkage between development and the environment, indicating the most important water pollutants in various chemical compounds resulting from industry, pesticides, fertilizer compounds and urban sanitation. In addition to the evolution and extraction of the oil industry, it plays an important role in increasing water pollution in its various forms.
