{"id":8382,"date":"2024-11-04T21:20:24","date_gmt":"2024-11-04T18:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8382"},"modified":"2024-11-04T21:20:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T18:20:24","slug":"insulin-resistance-the-concepts-causes-and-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8382","title":{"rendered":"Insulin Resistance The concepts, causes and treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><!--more--><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The Biological Research Unit for the Tropical Regions in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop entitled <strong>&#8220;Insulin Resistance; Causes, Presentation and Treatment<\/strong>\u201d under the auspices of <strong>the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan <\/strong>and the attendance of several students, academic teachers and medical professionals.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>The workshop aimed<\/strong> to find out what the patients are suffering from, especially those with insulin resistance from the accumulation of insulin, which makes the hormone less effective, resulting in the need to produce more insulin to stimulate fat and muscle cells by absorbing glucose from the blood and stimulating the liver.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>The workshop was lectured by<\/strong> <strong>Rajaa Ali Hussein and Noor Alhuda Khalaf<\/strong> to provide a detailed explanation for understanding the meaning of insulin resistance within the body and after eating; What the causes of high levels of blood sugar and the measurement of insulin production.
