{"id":9625,"date":"2025-02-01T21:54:32","date_gmt":"2025-02-01T18:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9625"},"modified":"2025-02-01T21:54:32","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T18:54:32","slug":"chemical-exploration-to-learn-about-the-analysis-of-soils-and-sediments-of-rivers-and-rocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.sc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9625","title":{"rendered":"Chemical Exploration to Learn about The Analysis of Soils and Sediments of Rivers and Rocks"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><!--more--><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The Department of Earth Science, in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, held a scientific lecture entitled <strong>&#8220;Geochemical Exploration&#8221;<\/strong> under the auspices of <strong>the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan,<\/strong> and attended many postgraduates, academics and those concerned with geological and chemical issues.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>The purpose of the lecture was<\/strong> to clarify the methods of geochemical sampling by collecting and analysing different types of geological materials such as soil, river sediment, rocks, or certain biological materials such as plants and sometimes it can be very difficult to observe mineralization. These samples play a key role in the description of mineralization and the procedures for collecting materials in the field, geochemical analysis of materials in the laboratory, and geochemical values on maps.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>This lecture was lectured<\/strong> by <strong>Dr. Rana Abbas Ali&#8217;s<\/strong> illustrated river sediment surveys that are very useful for exploring minerals, because of their greater prevalence in the river environment, which is the most capable of detecting a raw object from a larger distance.
