<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong>The Department of Astronomy and Space, in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized the scientific symposium entitled “Transitional Pathways of Spacecraft”<\/strong> under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, and<\/strong> the head of the department, Associate Professor Dr. Abdullah Kamel Ahmed and several students, academics and astronomers.<\/strong><\/h3>\n
The objective of the symposium was to <\/strong>familiarize with the spacecraft’s transitional pathways of transit from one point to another in space, such as from Earth to the Moon or the planets. These pathways are accurately calculated to save fuel and time, depending on the laws of astrophysics and celestial mechanics, and are calculated using advanced programmes and mathematics.<\/h3>\n
The lectures included Dr. Fouad Mahmoud Abdullah, Dr. Rasha Hashim Ibrahim, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Rahman Hussein Saleh, <\/strong>to publicize the classification of orbits of satellites and spacecraft around the Earth and the Sun while describing their functions and main characteristics.
