The Department of Geology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and within the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week, organized a lecture entitled” Deposits of economic ores and minerals”. The lecture aimed to introduce the natural inorganic solid and crystalline bodies that form under natural conditions and interactions governed by geological processes that occur in the Earth’s crust. Mineral deposits result from physicochemical changes in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere of the crust and mantle of the Earth. The lecture presented by Dr. Rana Ali included a review of the most clear and accepted scientific concepts in mineralogy, to keep up with the latest developments in ore geology, indicating that technological progress in the field of technologies used by those working in geochemistry leads to the continuation of the ideas put forward in some mineralization’s and their formation, This is particularly evident with the progress of isotope science, which has significantly contributed to a deeper understanding of the behavior of elements and minerals beneath the Earth’s surface, particularly those related to economic ores and minerals.
