The Importance of Modern Teaching Methods and the Development of Students’ Scientific Skills
The Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, held a scientific lecture titled “The Importance of Modern Teaching Methods and the Development of Students’ Scientific Skills.” The lecture aimed to review the abilities of researchers or educators in managing lectures scientifically and to demonstrate the extent to which teaching methods and their techniques are applied in conveying information to students. The lecture, presented by Assistant Lecturer Faten Adnan Jassim, addressed the importance of employing modern methods in delivering a scientific lecture and how to attract the attention of students and participants, forming mental brainstorming for internal perception of the lecture’s topic. It also discussed how to pass through the stage of desire and enthusiasm for researching information, accepting it, and understanding it with excitement and interaction through investigative learning, its advantages, the steps of its implementation, and the role of the student and the university professor in applying modern education.
