College students on a field visit to Radio and Television Training Centre to keep up with latest digital broadcasting technologies
Under the auspices of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Read Faleh Hassan, Department of media and Public Relations of faculty organized a field visit for Postgraduate students of Computer Science Department to radio and television studios in radio and television training complex of Faculty of media.
The objective of the field visit was to familiarize students with the mechanisms of digital radio and television broadcasting via computer, as well as access to broadcasting technologies, broadcasting devices, and radio and television transmitters to provide students with professional updates and field access to radio and Television equipment includes connection to the computer system, in order to provide students with the applied skills necessary to prepare them for work field in order to provide opportunity for specialized work. The visit, accompanied by postgraduate students, included several professors of Computer Department and Department of Information and Public Relations, , expanding their skills and knowledge of Working mechanisms of computers and software in digital broadcasting, Students have reacted positively to the adequate explanations given by administrators of studios who are professionals in the field, which increases students’ awareness of the nature and specialization of labor market requirements Radio studio and devices used in recording, audio cutting, radio broadcasting and how to use devices, purify sound, remove radio jamming and determine the space covered by radio broadcasting.

In the College of science, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis was discussed, tagged “Biostratigraphy and Depositional Environmental of Yamama Formation in Faihaa Oil Field Southern Iraq” by the research student Maryam Mohammad Taha and presented to the Geology Department under the supervision by Dr. Salam I.
