Important scientific lecture entitled “Reference Laboratory of immune blood tests and its mechanism of action “”
Under the auspices of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, with attending of teaching staff, students, and those concerned with immunological tests and blood diseases.
Department of Biotechnology, in collaboration with Continuing Education Unit, held a lecture entitled
“Reference Laboratory of immune blood tests”
The purpose of the lecture was to identify immune blood disease reference laboratory for patients who had an antibody against red blood cells due to prior exposure to red blood cells, such as in case of pregnancy or blood transfusion
The lecture presented by researcher Dhargham Mohammed Ibrahim which highlighted the laboratory of blood transfusion tests and identify of the part that the red blood cells identified by the antibody and indicating that determining it which is helping to select blood derivatives for future transfusion processes in order to prevent the antibody from reacting bad with transfused blood and may be destroy him “indicating that multiple tests may be needed to determine the antibody of red blood cells. Some tests include identification of the antibody, identification of the antigen type, direct ant globulin, extraction, and absorption, concluding that researchers are investigating new immunomedical technologies, such as identification of genetic blood cell type, in the laboratory.
