A workshop defines the health, social, and legal damage of drugs
Under the auspices of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan , and attending of several students, researchers and staff who specialists in chemical affairs and educational guidance committees.
The Department of Physics, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled
“Drugs Harms”
The purpose of the workshop was to provide educational, awareness-raising, and scientific material of drugs, learning about the tools of their chemical use and how to prevent and treat their damage by reviewing three types of drugs: vegetation drugs, chemical and digital, and their health effects on the physical, psychological, environmental and social aspects.
The workshop included a lecture by Professor Dr. wasen Rashid Saleh, Professor Anam Mohamed Abdul Majid, and Dr. Riam Ali Ibrahim “, which spotlighted on drugs and the restriction of their addictive circulation and their placement among prohibited substances to cultivated, and the prevention of their composition, intake, manufacture and handling except extracting many medical substances from it, Emphasize setting standards for medical use only while avoiding hallucinations in drugs that make illusions and fantasies drug users “, reviewing treatment methods for addicts and penalties for drug users and dealers.
