A Joint Patent between The College of Science, University of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain University made an optical fiber sensor
A joint research team in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Baghdad and the University of Al-Nahrain, obtained the patent tagged “Sensitive Optical Plastic Chemical Fiber in The Form of Letter D Based on The Resonance of The Surface Plasma”, after fulfilling this patent the conditions granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control in the Ministry of Planning.
This patent was introduced by the researchers at the College of Science, Prof. Sudad Salman Ahmed, and the University of Al-Nahrain Assistant Lecturer Ghafran Mohammed Jassam, aimed to provide an innovative way to design a plastic optical fiber and exhale it in the form of a letter D to sense chemical substances with different refractive coefficients.
