The College of Science at the University of Baghdad announces the organization of the 1st International Scientific Conference under the theme:
“Science and Innovation for Sustainable Development.
The conference will be held from 13 to 15 October 2026 at the College of Science University of Baghdad. It aims with the participation of distinguished researchers and academics from within Iraq and abroad to promote scientific research activities and facilitate the exchange of academic expertise across various scientific disciplines The conference also seeks to support scientific innovation in ways that contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The Conference Organizing Committee cordially invites researchers academics and postgraduate students to submit their original scientific research papers within the specified conference themes.
The committee also confirms that all accepted papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process in accordance with recognized academic standards. Accepted papers will be published after the completion of the review procedures.
The Organizing Committee has set the following timeline for submissions:
Opening date for paper submission: 1 March 2026
Deadline for paper submission: 15 May 2026
Conference dates: 13–15 October 2026

4th Conference of Chemistry A MODERN PERSPECTIVE OF TECHNOLOGY IN CHEMISTRY
The Conference, organized by the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Baghdad in Iraq, seeks to bring together all the most modern and dynamic players of the worldwide chemical community active in the wide field of coordination chemistry. The organizer is very proud to be holding the 4th Modern Perspective of Chemistry Technology Conference on Chemistry, and delighted to welcome scientists, experts and interested parties from around the world to Baghdad. The organizers extend a particular welcome to the early career researchers and students, who are key to the future development of green and sustainable chemistry.
The Department of Astronomy and Space at the College of Science University of Baghdad organized its Second International Scientific Conference under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. and under the supervision of the Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan. The conference was attended by the Governor of Baghdad Eng. Mohammed Jaber Atta the President of Al-Ain University Professor Dr. Shafiq Shaker Shafiq in addition to a large number of academics students guests and astronomy and space enthusiasts from across Iraq.

The conference is a two-day event held on 6–7 December 2023 at the University of Baghdad. It presents the latest research and innovations in nuclear physics, plasma physics, laser physics, nanotechnology, and renewable energy.
The conference will also honor two distinguished physicists and will feature four keynote lectures, 24 oral presentations, 20 poster presentations, and four workshops.
