A workshop about Genetically Modified Organisms to Meet Needs of Genetic
The Biological Research Unit for the Tropical Regions in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop entitled “Genetically Modified Organisms” under the auspices of the Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan and the attendance of several students and research teachers and genetic engineers.
The workshop aimed to study genetically modified organisms GMOs, that are modified organisms. Its genetic material uses genetic engineering to become more sophisticated and responsive to human needs. Genetic organisms changed by modern biotechnology, including engineering genetic techniques commonly known as “synthesis” natural or reproductive.
The workshop lectures were represented by Dr. Marwa Shakir Mahmoud and Shakir Mahmood Statement to discuss the constituent process through transfer genes selected from a particular body to another body of the same species or to and from different species are given by modified or new genes, confirming that these organisms may they are of animal, bacterial or plant origin, shown to be known as organisms genetically modified organisms, which are a secondary group of GMOs and contain the DNA is an entrance originated in different factions.
