Scientific Seminar Reviewed Some Important Vitamins of The Human Body
In cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, the Department of Students Affairs held a scientific seminar entitled “A Profile of Some Vitamins Important to The Human Body” under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, and the attendance of several postgraduates, academics and those concerned with medical and food matters.
The symposium aimed to inform participants of the most important vitamins and minerals needed by the body daily, by explaining vitamins and minerals and identifying their types and the impact of vitamin and mineral deficiencies on human health that have caused many diseases, mainly as organic compounds needed by the body.
The seminar presented by NebaaKassim Saadallah, reviewed the essential vitamins to the human body from various animal and plant sources in daily meals, indicating that the human body may produce small amounts of certain vitamins, however, many of them are not produced by the body and must be obtained from external sources. Vitamin deficiency can lead to serious health problems. Also, Vitamins play an important role in keeping the body healthy and contribute to the health of the immune system.
