The Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, held a lecture entitled “Impact of Mathematics Science in Various Areas of Life” under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, and attended several students, academics, and specialists in pure mathematics.
The objective of the lecture was to provide an abbreviated profile of the activity by explaining the contents of the applications of scientific and practical mathematics in various life fields, the influence of mathematics in applied sciences and life fields, and the highlighting of life mathematical models in life sciences, chemistry, physics, and other sciences.
The lecture presented by Ali Abdul Kadhim Rahima provided definitions of mathematics and its applications in various areas of life, indicating that mathematics has the characteristics and advantages of learning, developing thinking and justification, training in problem-solving, and how to be successful and confident. Emphasized the need for learners to develop themselves professionally by constantly searching for mathematics updates and attending their events. To be familiar with active learning methods and strategies, the learner can then link mathematics to everyday life and give the student concrete examples and applications.
