In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate
Whoever has done a good deed, male or female, who is a believer, let us give him a good life, and let us reward them with the best of what they have been doing (Al-Nahl, 97).
The Department of Biology has always been the bright lantern guiding and illuminating the path of myriads of researchers and students of science throughout our beloved country alongside their Arab brothers. All of them led the march of science after they graduated from this noble department. Numerous of esteemed professors and researchers have successively been involved in this department settled on solid foundations moving their essence to the successors who rode the saddles of knowledge and marched on its diverse paths.
Since the dawn of its first sun, the Department of Biology has provided the country with researchers specializing in four branches; Microbiology, Zoology, Botany and Ecology, equipped with the edges of these sciences consistent with the requirements of the labor market. In order to complement what was woven by the first builders, this department was opened to the modern science and began to explore its depths and include them in its curricula, such as nanotechnology and forensic science.
We ask Allah the almighty to bless our endeavor and help us to serve the country and the people.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Aldhamin
