Administrative formation under the title (Qualification and Employment Unit) concerned with communicating with students and graduates of the College of Science and qualifying them through a number of programs and workshops

. In building an advanced society on which all state institutions are based to keep pace with practical developments and update the information provided to the student in order to develop his capabilities that will be employed in the future to serve our dear country.

 General objective:

The unit aims to help students and graduates of the Faculty of Science from various disciplines to develop and build their own, scientific and practical capabilities and life skills in line with the labor market, which gives them the opportunity to compete for jobs after graduating in both the public and private sectors locally or internationally and work to spread the culture of the importance of the private sector and reduce the burden on the public sector.

 Activities of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit for the year 2017

 The strategy of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:

The unit’s strategy is to prepare specialized studies that contribute to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the graduates of the College of Science and their educational path, identifying areas of their opportunities in the labor market, and monitoring current and future threats. The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit also contributes to preparing accurate studies based on scientific foundations for the databases of students of the College of Science and the unemployment rate therein, understanding the types of operational institutions and the differences between them, and knowing the auxiliary elements of how to advance the wheel of success and progress for the various operational institutions.

 The vision of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:

Develop and build scientific, practical and personal skills and capabilities for students of the College of Science in line with the local and international requirements of the labor market.

Objectives of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:-

1- Orienting and guiding students of the College of Science to the importance of their various scientific specializations in which they have been accepted.

2- Preparing scientific studies on curricula that contribute to their development to ensure their suitability for the labor market.

3- Communicate with the scientific and knowledge development taking place in the world.

4- Informing the participants of the importance of the training unit.

5- Introducing the participant to the extent and strength of the influence of the trainee on the reputation of the institution and the extent of its production.

6- Communicating with scientific departments and units within the College of Science and obtaining a working paper that includes the labor market for each specialty within the public and private sectors.

7- Preparing and implementing training programs and workshops for students and graduates of the College of Science in line with the labor market.

8- Opening channels of communication with government institutions and the private sector and building bridges of communication between graduates in various specializations and the labor market.

9 – Follow up on students after their appointment to state institutions and the private sector, and assess the extent to which they benefit from their specializations.

Responsibilities of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit Staff:-

Administrative employee:

v Responsible for the unit’s mail.

v Organizing incoming and outgoing records and keeping mail.

v Follow up the external and internal mail from the Dean or his assistants.

v It also contributes to assisting (the employee organizing programs and workshops).

Website employee:

v Responsible for organizing the unit’s electronic form to register graduates within the qualification program.

v Responsible for e-mail and external correspondence for the labor market (preferably fluent in English).

v Publishing advertisements for the workshops, as well as publishing the unit’s activities through the college’s website and social networking site.

 Alumni follow-up and database officer:

v Preparing a database of graduates of the College of Science in various disciplines.

v Preparing a database on the labor market for the specializations of the College of Science.

v Searching for the most effective specializations in the labor market

v Organizing the filling of the registration form for the unit’s qualification programs for directly registered students (preferably proficient in working on computers and its various programs)

v Follow-up of graduates who were appointed in state institutions and the private sector.

 Program and workshop organizer:

v Preparing and implementing the unit’s annual plan of seminars, workshops and training courses after coordination with the Rehabilitation and Employment Center at the University Presidency.

v Organizing and arranging schedules for workshops and courses for the unit.

v Communicate with trainers and relevant institutions and contribute.

v Organizing summer and continuing programs.

v Preparing questionnaire forms for (employers, students, visitors).

v Preparing the registration lists for the participants in the programmes.

v Preparation of hospitality for all programs.

 Duties and duties of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:

v Preparing electronic forms for submitting students or graduates to participate in qualifying programs.

v Preparing databases for students and graduates of the College of Science wishing to enroll in the rehabilitation and employment programs.

v Preparing databases on institutions and private sector companies that include the institution’s activity, work sites, required specializations and points of contact.

v Preparation and implementation of workshops and courses for the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit.

v Preparing specialized scientific analytical studies to update and develop curricula and curricula in accordance with the requirements of the labor market in line with academic constants and to contribute to the development of the acquired skills of graduates.

v Preparation and implementation of scientific training programs for students and graduates (practical application of scientific and academic aspects) in coordination and cooperation with public and private sector institutions

v Follow-up of students after their appointment in state institutions and the private sector, with the aim of setting indicators that help in developing curricula, as well as clarifying the specializations that are most in demand within the labor market.
