The Physics Department is distinguished by its keeping pace with scientific progress and the latest scientific news around the world, as it holds many discussions, seminars, and conferences that deal with all the latest developments in the broad physical sciences, not to mention the rest of the sciences and other fields of culture. Postgraduate studies were opened in 1956 for master’s and doctorate degrees, until it has now become broad in scope and has a solid scientific standing. It has also expanded into the various fields of scientific research in physics until there remains no field, even if it is accurate, except for the Physics Department to have a major impact on it.
