The Ibn Sina E-Learning Unit at the College of Science seeks to develop and implement a self-technological educational system by providing distinguished e-learning according to international quality standards and preparing high-quality graduates supported by modern technology to communicate with the requirements of the modern era in Iraq and the Arab region and attract more Iraqi students. And the expansion of distance learning in university education and postgraduate studies. In addition to implementing the pioneering project to establish the College of Electronic Sciences to keep pace with the creative development that the era is witnessing in the advancement of technology.

The e-learning unit supports the college’s educational role by adding the technological dimension to formal education within the framework of the university’s ambitious policy and working to develop and support the skills of faculty members to produce modern electronic courses on the international network, raise students’ efficiency in using them, and encourage them to self-learning.
It supports members of the College of Science in implementing electronic connectivity for rapid communication between administrative and research units and divisions to facilitate administrative and scientific work tasks.
Unit objectives:
1. Adopting the application of modern technical means and tools in the educational and training process and providing the necessary structure and equipment for this.
2. Developing the technical structure of the college and developing the educational websites and its departments.
3. Providing information bases and resources, and employing technology to introduce the college, its programs, and its research and training activities.
4. Follow up on implementing the time plan for transferring college courses electronically.
Unit tasks:
1. He holds seminars and lectures to contribute to disseminating and following up on e-learning at the college.
2. Providing technical support and supporting services in the field of e-learning to faculty members in the college.
3. Determine the college’s educational technology needs and submit them to the college dean to address the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Learning to provide them.
4. Monitors the readiness of smart classrooms, meeting rooms, advertising screens, and information kiosks in the college.
5. Conducts training programs and workshops for college faculty members in the field of e-learning and distance learning regarding e-learning projects and their follow-up.
