Students are selected for the Computer Science Department based on their high school grades in scientific fields and by specifying their preference in the central admission electronic application.

Learning Outcomes

The department awards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, requiring 128 credit hours over eight semesters. Upon graduation, students are expected to be able to:

  • Build specialized knowledge in computer science and be prepared to work in fields such as programming, computer networking, and system development across various institutions.
  • Take courses that enhance programming knowledge, covering advanced programming languages, algorithm design and analysis, data structures, visual programming, and database systems.
  • Understand the latest methods for systems analysis and design, utilizing the most current systems in the field.
  • Skillfully and responsibly handle computer equipment and laboratory tools, conducting practical experiments, analyzing results, and drawing scientific conclusions.
  • Use computers, software, and mathematical tools to solve problems, handle equations, simulate scenarios, design projects, and produce and publish academic work.
  • Develop critical thinking, creativity, research skills, continuous learning, teamwork, effective communication, and a commitment to scientific and professional ethics.
