Admission Inputs

The Department of Life Sciences accepts graduates from scientific, biological, and applied branches of secondary education. The minimum admission threshold is determined annually by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for both morning and evening studies.

Learning Outcomes

The department awards a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, requiring 128 credit hours distributed over eight semesters. Graduates acquire the following skills and knowledge:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of zoology, botany, microbiology, genetics, ecology, and biotechnology.
  • Applying biological concepts, laws, and theories across various fields such as medicine, health, agriculture, food industries, and ecological and natural systems.
  • Skillfully and responsibly handling biological and laboratory equipment, devices, and materials, conducting practical experiments, analyzing results, and drawing scientific conclusions.
  • Using computers, biological and mathematical software to solve problems, equations, simulate processes, design projects, and produce and publish academic work.
  • Developing critical thinking, creativity, research skills, continuous learning, teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to scientific and professional ethics.
