Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Promoting Women’s Participation:

  • Organizing programs aimed at enhancing the role of women in all areas of academic and professional life.
  • Encouraging female students and staff to engage in academic and administrative activities.
  • Supporting projects and initiatives that contribute to the empowerment of women at the college and community level.

2. Providing Support and Counseling:

  • Offering psychological and social support to female students, employees, and faculty members.
  • Providing career and advisory counseling to women to develop their academic and professional paths.
  • Addressing and resolving any problems or challenges that women may face within the university campus in coordination with relevant authorities.

3. Organizing Workshops and Seminars:

  • Organizing training workshops and seminars aimed at building women’s capacities in academic, research, and leadership fields.
  • Inviting specialized speakers to provide practical insights on women’s empowerment and gender equality.

4. Conducting Research and Studies:

  • Conducting studies and research on the status of women in the college and the challenges they face.
  • Analyzing data and providing recommendations to the college administration to improve the situation of women and create a supportive environment for them.

5. Collaboration with Institutions and Organizations:

  • Building collaborative relationships with civil society organizations and government and international institutions concerned with women’s rights and empowerment.
  • Organizing partnerships with local and international institutions to implement projects and programs that support the empowerment of women.

6. Raising Awareness about Gender Equality:

  • Promoting awareness about the importance of gender equality and combating discrimination within the campus.
  • Organizing awareness campaigns and creating media materials to educate the university community about women’s empowerment issues.

7. Monitoring Legal and Administrative Issues:

  • Monitoring the implementation of university policies related to the rights and protection of women.
  • Ensuring the application of regulations and laws that support women’s rights at the college.

8. Strategic Planning:

  • Developing strategic plans aimed at achieving the goals of women’s empowerment in the college.
  • Monitoring the implementation of these plans and initiatives and evaluating their outcomes periodically.

Main Goal:

The Women’s Empowerment Unit aims to support and strengthen the role of women in the academic community by providing a supportive educational and professional environment, removing barriers to their active participation. The unit works to empower women to achieve academic and professional success and to contribute positively to society.
