The Government Contracts Unit is one of the key administrative units affiliated with the Office of the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Science – University of Baghdad. It is responsible for organizing and managing all government contracts related to the college, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and relevant oversight bodies.
The unit oversees contracting procedures related to construction, services, and procurement—from the announcement and technical/financial evaluation stages, to contract signing, implementation follow-up, and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative terms.
Unit Tasks:

Prepare government contract documents related to college projects and procurements.

Follow up on contract award procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory guidelines.

Coordinate with technical, legal, and administrative committees to conduct the necessary evaluations and analyses before contracting.

Supervise all stages of contract implementation and ensure that contractors comply with the agreed terms.

Organize and archive contract files both in physical and digital formats.

Prepare periodic reports on the status of ongoing and completed contracts and submit them to senior college officials.
