Reconstruction and Projects Unit – College of Science / University of Baghdad

The Reconstruction and Projects Unit is one of the technical and administrative units affiliated with the Office of the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Science. It is responsible for overseeing and implementing reconstruction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects within the college’s infrastructure, in accordance with approved strategic plans and in coordination with the university presidency and relevant authorities.

The unit plays a fundamental role in improving the university environment through the execution of development projects, monitoring regular and emergency maintenance, and supervising the on-site implementation of construction works to ensure the sustainability of college buildings and their suitability for academic and administrative activities.

Unit Tasks:

  • Prepare and follow up on the college’s reconstruction and urban development plans.

  • Provide technical and administrative supervision of project implementation in coordination with the relevant engineering departments.

  • Monitor preventive and emergency maintenance works for buildings and campus facilities.

  • Document all completed projects and maintain their technical and administrative records.

  • Submit periodic reports on project progress and on-site issues to the Office of the Associate Dean.

  • Study the college’s needs for rehabilitation and expansion and provide appropriate recommendations.

Unit Objectives:

  • Develop the college’s infrastructure to meet the requirements of modern education and scientific research.

  • Provide a safe and functional university environment for students and staff.

  • Ensure proper management of financial and human resources allocated for projects.
