Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, discussed through the second telemeeting the aspects related to opening up opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation between the college and the AmirKabir University of Technology. The collaboration would focus on the fields of chemistry and physics, to result in the future signing of a memorandum of understanding between the College of Science and Amirkabir University, after obtaining Fundamental approvals to enhance the educational process between the two institutions. This initiative aligns with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of Baghdad University to open up to advanced international and regional universities. The meeting, which was attended on behalf of the College of Science, included the assistant dean for scientific affairs, students, the heads of the Physics and Chemistry Departments and faculty members, From  Amirkabir University of Technology the heads of the Physics and Chemistry Department and the director of Cultural Relations, as the two sides discussed the results of the first meeting to sign a joint scientific cooperation agreement. It includes student study, supervision, and discussions in postgraduate studies, especially in the teaching and training aspects, as well as many other joint research and educational programs for cooperation in supporting solid scientific research and publishing it in the two institutions journals, and discussing the possibility of holding a joint scientific conference. The College of Science also seeks to deepen its academic network with various universities, embodying the vision of the University of Baghdad in strengthening its presence in the local and international academic arena.
