Abstract
The ground state densities and the associated root-mean-square (rms) radii of unstable proton-rich (9C and 12N) and unstable neutron-rich (8Li, 11Be, 18N and 20F)) exotic nuclei are studied by the radial wave functions of the Woods-Saxon (WS) and Gaussian (GS) potentials. Adopt the two-body model of Core + p for nuclei (9C and 12N) and the model of Core + n for nuclei 8Li, 11Be, 18N and 20F. The long tail performance is clearly noticed in the calculated proton and matter density distributions of proton -rich halo nuclei. While the long tail performance is clearly noticed in the calculated neutron and matter density distributions of neutron-rich halo nuclei.
