Abstract
In this work, three types of smart windows have been synthesized via DC reactive magnetron sputtering technique and tested. Electrochromic device (ECD) with single-layer configuration based on cobalt oxide (Co3O4) as electrochromic layer (EC) (glass / indium-tin oxide(ITO) /Co3O4/sodium hydroxide(NaOH)/platinum sheet), Photoelectrochromic device (PECD) with multi-layer configuration based on nitrogen-doped TiO2 as EC layer and Co3O4 as ion-storage IS layer (glass/ ITO /N-doped TiO2/Co3O4/NaOH/ Pt. ) and a photoelectrochromic device (PECD) with double-layer configuration based on N-doped TiO2 as photocatalytic layer and Co3O4 as EC layer (glass/ ITO /N-doped TiO2/ Co3O4/ NaOH/ Pt. ).
