Abstract
A microwave-induced plasma jetting (MIPJ) system was built using local materials and on the basis of a tapered waveguide. The parameters of this plasma inculding electron temperature, electron density Ni were determined. Other parameters like plasma frequency (fp), Debye length (λD) and number of particles in a Debye sphere (Nd) were also studied. The study was carried out at different Ar flow rates ranging from (2.5-10) L/m and discharge tube diameters ranging from (2-6-10) mm. All these parameters were determined based on the MIPJ spectrum. It reveals that there is a high possibility of controlling MIPJ parameters by manipulating these parameters.
