The Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a lecture titled “Dynamics of Ecological-Epidemiological Systems” The lecture aimed to define some fundamental concepts of epidemiological ecosystems and study their dynamic behavior, especially epidemiological models that serve to study the development of infectious disease outbreaks. The lecture, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Heba Abdullah Ibrahim and Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Abdul Sattar Abdul Aoun, also delved into the discussion of the dynamics of ecosystems and epidemiological systems, as the results of epidemic studies depend on the model’s criteria. Some of these criteria are biological and related to the infectious disease, and others are related to demographics.
