In the College of Science Department of Physics at the University of Baghdad a doctoral dissertation entitled ” Diagnostic of Plasma Jet Parameters and its effectiveness on the Tooth Root Canal Disinfection ” by Tamara Abood Hameed was discussed, Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hammad Raheem Humud and Asst. Prof. Dr. Layla Fouad Ali. The research aimed to verify the effectiveness of disinfecting tooth root bacteria through two methods: direct exposure to the tooth root using a plasma jet and plasma-activated water. The research deduced that the intensity of the spectral line of plasma jet emission is dependent on the gas flow rates and the applied voltage. The intensity increases at the flow rates of different gases with the increase in the applied voltage and then decreases with the continued increase of power. Whenever applied voltage increases, the plasma temperature rises, and as the gas flow rate increases, it leads to a decrease in the plasma temperature.  The combination of the drug and plasma led to achieving the best results when exposing tooth root germs to direct plasma, activated water, and the drug.
