The Remote Sensing Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, held the workshop entitled “Image Processing in MATLAB.” The lecture aimed to identify the new features in each image that can be found in various ways and reshaped based on its colors, which represent red, green, and blue, applied to each other to give a single image, as well as processing digital images, which is one of the applications that fall under the heading of using MATLAB in simulation and how to process images in MATLAB to open an image and use the histogram curve to enhance some operations on the images. The lecture, presented by both Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Aboud and Assistant lecturer Ahmed Falih Hassan, included a review of the MATLAB program that allows the execution of matrix multiplication, subtraction, and interaction to generate new matrices revealing new features in the image. They emphasized that MATLAB is a computer program and is considered one of the most widely used programming languages at present.
