Geogebra Program and its Applications in Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering
The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized the workshop entitled “Geogebra Program and its Applications in Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering.” The workshop aimed to demonstrate how to use the Geogebra program and benefit from it in physics, engineering, and mathematics, by implementing numerous examples that assist educators in conveying information more effectively to students during lectures. The workshop, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Rafaa Ridha, Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Abbas Ramadan, and Dr. Saad Mohammed Saleh, included an overview of the benefits of applying the Geogebra program, which is an open-source software specifically designed for learning and teaching engineering, algebra, and physics. They explained that the program facilitates easy manipulation through an interactive environment. They also pointed out that GeoGebra allows various operations displayed on the table interface, ranging from cutting simple lines to parallel lines, and even translating any shape as a carrier. Additionally, they highlighted that the program features both geometric and algebraic aspects.
