The Department of Biotechnology, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a lecture titled ” A comparative study on the mechanics of action of Covid-19 vaccines.” The lecture aimed to review the contributions of vaccines in reducing the spread of severe diseases that have affected humanity. It also highlighted the evolution of sciences and the concurrent development of vaccines. However, new bacterial or viral diseases have emerged, posing new challenges to pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing companies. Dr. Ahmed Fadhil’s lecture focused on shedding light on vaccines, including those for the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the world and claimed thousands of lives. He explained that countries worldwide competed in various ways to manufacture vaccines. He pointed out that the discovered vaccines all contributed to overcoming this pandemic, including those produced by China (the country where the outbreak originated), followed by the United Kingdom, the United States, and Russia.
