The Department of Biotechnology, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a seminar titled “Protecting Personal Information in Cyberspace.”The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of user privacy and their personal data, as well as the importance of securely preserving important information and data for users in accordance with privacy policies and general rules of exchange by protecting personal data from leakage, damage, loss, theft, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized access.The seminar presented by Dean Dr. Hussein Hadi included the ways to protect cybersecurity, which is the process of protecting systems, data, communications, and internet-connected networks against digital attacks. indicating that these attacks, usually referred to as “cyberattacks,” are nothing but attempts to penetrate, modify, disable, access, or use systems and data unlawfully. Thus, cyberattacks can range from installing malicious codes on a personal computer to attempting to destroy the infrastructure of entire countries. The term refers to a virtual domain created by interconnected computers and computer networks on the Internet, through which all computer networks exist and electronic communication occurs.
