The importance of the alcoholic extract of the Darson plant as an antibacterial against Klebsiella pneumoniae infection
The Department of Biology, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a lecture titled “The Importance of the Alcoholic Extract of Darson Plant as an Antibacterial Against Klebsiella pneumoniae Infection.” The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falah Hassan, and was attended by a number of students, faculty members, and medical professionals. The lecture, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Enas Ghassan Swaydan, aimed to introduce the importance of the alcoholic extract of the Darson plant as an antibacterial agent against Klebsiella pneumoniae infection isolated from urinary tract infections. Additionally, it aimed to explore its effect on the formation of the bacterial biofilm.
The lecture aimed to study the increasing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics in Iraq and worldwide as a result of the misuse and overuse of antibiotics.
