The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Baghdad offers master’s and doctoral studies in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry. The department aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the field of chemistry, and to develop their abilities in scientific research and industrial applications. The Master’s degree includes studying basic subjects in chemistry, which include organic, analytical, physical, and life chemistry, in addition to studying elective subjects. Doctoral study requires independent research in the field of chemistry, and includes the study of core subjects and elective subjects.
