Under the patronage of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, and the attendance of Assistant Premier of Baghdad University for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, several teaching staff, and students who are concerned with educational guidance and remote sensitivity committees.

         Department of Geoscience in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop tagged “A spatial analysis of drugs using geographic information systems and time chains in Baghdad governorate”

         This workshop was lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir titled “Drugs, their types and names”, Assistant Lecturer “Abdul Rahman Bilal Ali” lectured on “Drug Spatial Study Using Remote Sensing and GIS” and Assistant Professor Manar Naji Ghayeb with lecture entitled “A Statistical Study of Drugs Using “Time tracking in Baghdad area space” discussed the data obtained from the concerned authorities. Drug abuse and addiction result from a variety of important and influential societal factors that differ from Community to Community and person to person. The importance of this workshop is to show the great danger of drugs to society, so it was necessary to create a database of geographic information systems (GIS) to study spatial statistics of drug crime in Baghdad.
