Climate change as a negative impact on Iraq’s waters with a scientific lecture by the Faculty of Science
Under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Ra ‘id Faleh Hassan, and attendance of unique students, academic staff and those concerned with geographical sciences and remote sensitivity.
Department of Geoscience, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit , organized a lecture entitled
“Negative impacts of climate changes on Iraq’s water resources”
The purpose of the scientific lecture was to explain the climate changes, which are important because of the general negative repercussions on environment, weather, and water sources of Iraq, particularly dust storms, and to develop our researchers’ skills in their various specialties and geologists.
An important lecture, presented by Dr. Iman Ahmed Ali, included theoretical and practical applications on the topic of climate changes and the phenomena of increasing occurrence of dust storms, as well as a reviewing the types of analyses on the specimens of dust storms, focusing on important laboratory devices used in the analysis of dust storm samples.

In the College of science, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis was discussed, tagged “Biostratigraphy and Depositional Environmental of Yamama Formation in Faihaa Oil Field Southern Iraq” by the research student Maryam Mohammad Taha and presented to the Geology Department under the supervision by Dr. Salam I.
