Faculty of Science defines the role of artificial intelligence in chemistry with a specialized scientific seminar
Under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assist Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan , attending of department staff , several students , specialists of artificial intelligence & chemistry sciences.
Department of Chemistry in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit organized a symposium entitled:
“Introduction lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in chemistry”
The seminar aimed to explain how to apply ) AI ( In various scientific fields , including chemistry by using (AI) in chemical characteristic design , the manufacture of pharmaceutical chemicals and help to understanding chemical reactions.
The symposium included two lectures by two Distinguished Academics, Nada Mohamed Hassan and Assist Professor Dr. Mundhar Abd_ALbari, reviewing new ways of manufacturing pharmaceutical chemicals, increasing their efficiency and analyzing chemical data, improving the production of NYLON and detecting new antibacterial compounds, using artificial intelligence to create the main bases of chemical data.

In the College of science, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis was discussed, tagged “Biostratigraphy and Depositional Environmental of Yamama Formation in Faihaa Oil Field Southern Iraq” by the research student Maryam Mohammad Taha and presented to the Geology Department under the supervision by Dr. Salam I.
