Workshop at Faculty of Science to publicize the work of microscopes & their scientific applications
Under the auspices of the Dean Raad Faleh Hassan with the presence of, academic staff, students and specialists in the field of Earth Sciences.
Department of Earth Science, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit, held a lecture entitled:
“Applications & Scientific Branches of Using Microscopes”
The workshop began with an explanation of the microscope device, types of device, and its historical look starting with the invention, stages of development and its importance in scientific applications & research, showing how to develop researchers’ skills to obtain better data to serve scientific research and consulting.
Dr. Hassan Kattouf Jassim gave a lecture on areas dealing with microscopy such as geological, biological, engineering, scientific, and forensic applications, explaining that geological laboratories contain various laboratories and fields of geological devices to provide the labor market with cadres in important fields such as mining and oil and to keep abreast of global progress in all fields of Earth science.
