The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “Introduction to Arduino Uno” under the patronage of the College dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hasan. The workshop, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ruaa Dawood Hasan, Dr. Rafel Ali Sameer, Dr. Duha Abdulhadi Abduljabbar, Assistant Lecturer Faten Sadiq Khazal, Dr. Maysaa Ibrahim Abdulhussein, and Dr. Huda Mustafa Redha, aimed to introduce participants to Arduino, its basic components, and the programming language used. The goal was to raise awareness about the Arduino platform, the world of electronic sensors, and the practical process of linking them with devices, as well as simulating the actual operation of these devices to enhance students’ skills in this field.

The workshop covered an introduction to the world of electronics, microcontrollers, and programming, as well as the creation of prototypes for electronic circuits with the aim of developing various interactive projects. In addition, the workshop addressed key topics such as the fundamentals of electronics, an overview of what a microcontroller is, and an introduction to Arduino and how to use it.
