The Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, Baghdad University, held a lecture entitled “Calculation of Teaching Hours in the Bologna Digital Path System” under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, and attended several academics and concerned individuals from the quality assurance and academic accreditation committees.

The purpose of the lecture was to provide a detailed explanation of the mechanism of application of the Bologna system and how to calculate the teaching hours in the Bologna course according to the number of ECTS units required for graduation, classrooms, and classification of materials, including materials prepared and supplemented, the breakdown of scheduled and unscheduled hours, other activities and learning outputs from this track needs, as well as how labour market needs are linked to approaches.

The Lecture presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Abdelsada Ali reviewed how the calculation of teaching hours in the course of Bologna is calculated under the quality assurance standards and requirements for the course of Bologna and, in particular, focus on the teaching process and the learning process, which mainly concerns educational outputs related to the student, the curriculum and the educational process through the infrastructure of the university through which the university student learns. Also was discussed how to build and design curricula, curricula, and modules, and the mechanism for describing the modules based on ministerial forms received by the university according to quality standards that help to recruit the recipient and enable the university to compete with the same.
