The Dean of the College of Science, University of Baghdad, Associate Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan, opened entrepreneurship activities within the International Entrepreneurship Week, accompanied by his associates for scientific affairs Professor Dr. Namir Ibrahim Abbas, and students’ affairs Professor Dr. Udai Hatem Shaban among academic and student attendance.

The Dean of the College briefed on the various scientific and technical arcades set up by the college departments and research units and heard innovators and scientific producers, particularly in the fields of chemical, physical, geological, computer science, remote sensitivity, and biological, calling for the promotion of applied research and innovations that serve the community and integration with state institutions.

Associate Professor Dr. Raed Falih Hassan praised the researchers and innovators and its academics and students through the attention shown by the specialized departments in the observance of quality and keeping up with scientific changes to strengthen the space for qualitative integration with all ministries to serve the community, at the same time, State institutions are invited to invest the scientific offers and findings of universities in the fields of application.

The events saw the chemistry department holding a voluntary charity exhibition to sell handicrafts and work in conjunction with the International Day of Volunteering, as well as lectures given by Dr. Hassan Kattouf, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee of the Technological Incubator for Industrial Applications, with the title “Ecosystem and Future of Scientific Research in Entrepreneurship”, Dr. Hassan Jaber Atta and Majid Abdulsalam with their lecture entitled “Observation of Seismic Activities and Calculation of Seismic Code” and lecture by the chief geologist Osama Ismail Awad, was entitled “The jewel of entrepreneurship: stimulating innovation and economic growth”.
