The Use of Technological Development of Laser Applications in Agriculture
The Department of Life Sciences, in collaboration with the Development and Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a lecture entitled “Laser Applications on the Agricultural Side”, sponsored by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, and attended by several graduate students, researchers and specialists in agriculture and laser.
The purpose of the lecture was to introduce technology as a well-known and acceptable technology for farmers. It is also now proven that this technology is no longer expensive and accessible to farms to meet their specific requirements in agriculture and to upgrade them in terms of abundance of production and meeting the requirements for marketing according to modern technologies.
The lecture presented by Associate Professor Dr. Ala Mohammed Hassan identified the role of different lasers and their impact on the speed of planting seeds for different crops, as it is important to improve seed planting and their time and quality. Displaying the laser is an important radiation that has so far been used to settle the Earth’s for agriculture and how the laser helps the farmers for the ability to save water consumption by at least 30% in addition to its positive feedback reflected in the doubling of productivity rates, reducing the chances of diseases.
