The Development and Continuing Education Unit and the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Science, in cooperation with the University Health Division, University of Baghdad, held a training workshop tagged “First Aid” under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raid Falih Hassan, and attendees of many students, academic teachers.
The workshop aimed to sensitize participants on the importance of first aid, how to deal with emergency operations, and training in clinical cases requiring speed, how to do it and the important procedures and requirements to be followed for each case.
The workshop presented by Raja Ali Hassan included training in emergency cases such as fainting, burns, dyeing, stopping the heartbeat, how to perform pulmonary resuscitation, wounds, burns, fractures, electrocution, sinking, epilepsy, and treatment of diaphragm solutions to communicate various information about dealing with various injuries that may encounter people until the arrival of medical teams or the transfer of the injured person to the competent hospitals.

In the College of science, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis was discussed, tagged “Biostratigraphy and Depositional Environmental of Yamama Formation in Faihaa Oil Field Southern Iraq” by the research student Maryam Mohammad Taha and presented to the Geology Department under the supervision by Dr. Salam I.
